In the beginning, you hit it off really well. You found that you had a lot in common or that perhaps they had a lot to offer that you found unique. Hanging out together always produced fun times and good memories. You share a lot of your information with them and in exchange, they share information about themselves with you and you really get to know each other. I'm not just talking about a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship. I'm talking about friendship.

Then, as time goes on and as you spend more time together, the pleasantness begins to wane just a little because the newness of the relationship fades. You become more comfortable with each other and let loose a little more. You or they allow words or actions to come out that you would only allow more in casual and comfortable situations. That's when it happens.

You begin to notice annoying qualities in your friend that you didn't before.
Maybe it's even the way they react to certain situations or a little quirk they have that you've noticed. At first, it's just something you notice that you think is a little annoying. But as time goes on and you continue to notice it, it becomes something that might drive you crazy.

You're well into your friendship by now, but then it seems that perhaps it's time to decrease the time you spend together.
